LEGO Batman Batcave – Shadow Box #76252

The LEGO Group has announced a brand new addition to the LEGO Batman Collection and it is a big one! This LEGO “Batman Returns” Batcave Shadow Box is an official collaboration with Warner Bros and DC, a mere 30 years after the release of the “Batman Returns’ movie. This highly detailed set features iconic characters, cool gadgets and much more for the ultimate Batman fans.

About the Batman Returns Movie

In 1992 Tim Burton brought us his second Batman movie. Although the first one with Micheal Keaton and Jack Nicholson as the Joker was fantastic. I personally liked The Batman Returns movie even better. This was mainly due to the fact that Michelle Pfeiffer was starring as Catwoman – miauwww- and Danny DeVito as the obnoxious Penguin. Let not forget the role of Max Shrek which suited Christopher Walken perfectly. The bad guys – and girl – opposite the masked Crusader made a fantastic action hero movie in my younger years and I think it is great that LEGO is releasing a LEGO set based on it!

Information LEGO Batman Batcave – Shadowbox #76252

The LEGO Batman Batcave Shadow Box (76252) is based on the Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Batman Returns”. The set looks like a large black box from the outside, with a cutout in the shape of the iconic Batman emblem. Once you open the box the full Batcave is displayed inside. And just like Batman’s Batcave, the set features several gadgets and clever functions, such as the ability to move furniture, open a vault, change images on the big screen and a light brick. This set is really one for the adults and fans of the movie!

• The LEGO® DC Batman Batcave – Shadow Box (76252) is an active display model for adult fans that capture the dramatic style of the Batcave™ from 1992’s Batman Returns™ movie.
• Authentic details come with this set such as a feature-rich Batmobile™ as seen in the movie. The roof opens for the Batman™ minifigure with the fabric cape to enter. Turning the cog on the side causes 2 hidden shooters to appear. A flame element attaches to the exhaust.
• 7 minifigures of which are 2 versions of Batman™, Alfred Pennyworth™ and Bruce Wayne™, but also Catwoman™, The Penguin™ and Max Shreck.
• This Batcave tableau contains an assortment of authentic details, including movable items that can be controlled from the rear; change the computer screen, turn the chair and open and close the tool store and illuminated Batsuit™ vault.
• The total 3,981 bricks consist mostly of black and grey bricks, giving this sets a cool, dramatic and dark vibe, just like the movie.

Also.. be on the lookout for a LEGO 1992 Batwing coming out in August 2023. I have a feeling this one can be attached into the ‘open space’ of the Shadow Box 🙂
