LEGO Lord Of The Rings: Barad-Dûr set #10333

First of June 2024 there are several new LEGO sets coming out, but there is one set to rule them all! I am talking about Sauron’s fortress and tower with the big ‘flaming eye’. Yes a LEGO Lord of the Rings Barad-Dûr building set is finally happening!

LEGO is releasing a Lord of the Rings Saurons Barad-Dûr set

Last year the worldwide fellowship of the ring fanbase got surprised with a massive LEGO The Lord Of The Rings RIVENDELL set that is right up there in the top 10 of ‘biggest’ LEGO Sets by piece count. But for years the LOTR fans have had their hearts out for a remake of the large Tower of Orthanc – which was actually in the Top 10 ‘tallest’ LEGO sets. Unfortunately a remake is not happening right now, because LEGO just announced a buildable Barad-Dûr set that is just mind blowing! With a whopping 83 cm in height bumping off Orthanc as tallest LEGO The Lord of The Rings set. Let’s take a look!

Information 10333 LEGO the Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dûr set

Journey to Middle-earth with this LEGO replica of Sauron’s incredible Barad-Dûr fortress and tower. This set is part of the LEGO Icons series and is filled with movie memorabilia for all LOTR fans. The ominous black fortress, with that big tower and menacing Eye of Sauron looking from above, this set brings back many memories of the books and movies.

How big is the LEGO Barad-Dûr set?

The LEGO Barad-Dûr set has a total of 5,471-pieces and measures over 32.5 in. (83 cm) high, 17.5 in. (45 cm) wide and 12 in. (30 cm) deep. This definitely is a set for adults! And with that tall height it jumps in on the 6th place of ‘Tallest’ LEGO sets of all time!

Interiors

The black gate is automated and the Eye of Sauron illuminates for a captivating display. The 1st-floor interior includes Gollum’s hideout, a weapons forge and a prison with a raisable Orc cage. Above the 2nd-floor dining area you’ll find a room with a throne that opens to reveal a hidden map of Middle-earth. The 4th floor is home to Mouth of Sauron’s study, while the 5th floor houses a tower library with a rotating ladder.

The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr set 10333 comes with 10 minifigures, including Sauron, Mouth of Sauron, Orcs, Gothmog, as well as Frodo, Sam and Gollum. Let’s not forget several armor accessories, including helmets, plus the one ring, the Light of Elendil and Sauron’s mace.
